I have had 30 years experience in the optical industry and have practiced Optometry in both South Africa and the United Kingdom. I have moved away from the consulting room and spend my time utilizing my skills and expertise in sales, marketing & management and specialise in social media profiling as well as professional networks and networking in all professions. I also enjoy business development, particularly in the optical, medical, retail and aesthetic industries. In addition to my scientific skills I have a strong artistic leaning, hence my parallel career in Image Consulting and Make up Artistry. This has led me to gain qualifications, skills and experience in South Africa, the United Kingdom and the United States.
I firmly believe that in todays world your online image/persona is the most visible there is, as most people will Google you before even meeting you – especially professionally. Hence harnessing my writing, creative and image consulting skills to found Cyber Image International – a one stop online image consulting service for corporates and individuals.
Passionate about people, I interact equally as well with groups as I do one on one, be they colleagues or customers.
I have lectured and mentored students of Optometry and Optical Dispensing, and have also lectured on High Definition Make Up at AFDA in Cape Town. Additionally I have provided training courses on Airbrush Make Up in South Africa as well as workshops in Hollywood, USA. I have attended National and International Trade Fairs and Conferences in both the aesthetic and optical fields.
Event conceptualization, planning and management is another area I enjoy and have experience in, including organising fund raisers. Additionally I excel at creative writing including copy and speech writing as well as developing presentations and videos utilizing multi media. 
An accomplished public speaker I enjoy a variety of genres including motivation, inspiration and humour and am a member of Toastmasters International.
I am computer literate and familiar with, amongst other things,Mac OS, Windows, MS Office and Social Networking.
Travel is a passion, be it for business or social purposes and I am fortunate to have a British Passport with full British Citizenship as well as Permanent Residence in South Africa, allowing me to work, play and reside in both RSA & Europe, as well as enter the United States and many other countries without visa requirements.
When not in Cyberspace I can be found in beautiful Cape Town at the tip of the African Continent and while not born here, I am proud to call myself South African.
